Hi, I’m Michelle.
My Work:
With over 25 years in somatics, mindfulness/meditation, and the creative arts, I bring a unique synergy of skills to therapy. My approach blends present-moment awareness, narrative reframing, and close attention to the subtle ways the body communicates—often outside of conscious awareness. In our sessions, we’ll go beyond conventional talk therapy, engaging your body’s wisdom and exploring the deeper emotional patterns that shape your life.
Like many drawn to healing professions, this career chose me through my own journey with mental health and wellbeing. My lived experience with some of life’s hardest moments has given me a deep sense of empathy and compassion for the effort it takes to navigate the messiness of being human. I meet whatever you bring to our work with curiosity and openness, not judgment or fear.
Together, we’ll reimagine the personal narratives that influence how you see yourself and the world, turning insights into practical actions for holistic healing, authenticity, and self-trust.
Who I Am:
I’m a registered professional counselor associate with a Master’s in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling from Naropa University. My primary approaches include Gestalt therapy, Narrative therapy, and Reichian-informed work, alongside Internal Family Systems and Brainspotting when helpful for trauma resolution and nervous system regulation. I also draw from Buddhist Psychology, Somatic Experiencing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Hakomi, and Focusing.
I am a fierce supporter and advocate for those navigating non-traditional relationships and sex workers.
Outside of my practice, I’m the founder of The Peoples Yoga, a craniosacral practitioner and somatic intuitive, an avid wild river swimmer and nature explorer, and a single mom to one grown human and an elderly rescued pit bull.
